THE BENEFITS OF RECEIVING "NO" AS AN ANSWER TO YOUR REQUESTS/DESIRES

There was a time when I was in Basic 9 in high school, I requested my father to allow me to attend a school of science for my senior high study, but he declined and said NO". His response pained me because I could not attend science school like my other classmates. Consequently, I opted for the commercial class at the senior high school and strove to do well. Behold, I thank God today for choosing a career in finance and accounting, it has been a blessing to the people around me and me.

It is not all the times you will get "YES" to your desires and requests from God and people, particularly if you're walking with God and you want to do His will consistently. But when you get "NO" from God or anyone, no matter the depth of your trust in, loyalty to, or expectation of them, please do not be angry. See it from a positive angle and believe that God is by your side and He will make all things work together for your good.

The fact is that hearing "NO" from God or people can be disappointing and discouraging, but when you accept it, it will reset your thinking, values, priorities, relationships and mature you if you want to grow.

"NO" is a good answer for anyone who wants to last and laugh last in his or her chosen path. I encourage you today that you should think critically, analytically and reflectively on every "NO" you have received and see how God has turned it into a blessing for you.

You only need to be patient and give thanks to God in love and obedience when you hear NO TO ISSUES.

'NO" has values. It gives you experience. It matures you. It defines your relationship and matures you. It may give you new vision and chart new path for you.

Jesus Christ requested that the cup should pass over him but God's will prevailed. David requested to build the temple but God said "NO".

Abraham requested Ishmael to carry God's Promise and Covenant to him, but God insisted that Isaac would carry the covenant.

Moses requested to see God's Glory, but God's condition for seeing His glory requires death to the flesh. The same Moses begged to enter the Promised Land, but God's determined counsel prevailed.

When Peter, John and James asked Jesus to allow them to stay on the Mount of Transfiguration, Jesus said No, we will not stay here.

Jesus said No to a woman who asked Him to heal her son, but "YES" came later to the woman when she changed her strategy and approach.

If you look at it very well, you will see that "NO" is a blessing in disguise. Review your perception about "NO" as a response to issues. Revive your dreams and dream again. Don't throw that vision away because of rejection. The vision is a blessing to your generation. Rejoice, give thanks to God and move forward in life. Let no "NO" stop and stagnate you. ARISE!
