THE BENEFITS OF RECEIVING "NO" AS AN ANSWER TO YOUR REQUESTS/DESIRES There was a time when I was in Basic 9 in high school, I requested my father to allow me to attend a school of science for my senior high study, but he declined and said NO". His response pained me because I could not attend science school like my other classmates. Consequently, I opted for the commercial class at the senior high school and strove to do well. Behold, I thank God today for choosing a career in finance and accounting, it has been a blessing to the people around me and me. We are in a dispensation of quick-quick syndrome. Without much effort and at the shortest possible time, people are desperate and desire to get things done at the snap of their fingers. The Scriptures say, “When the king of Egypt let the people go, God did not take them by the road that goes up the coast to Philistia, although it was the shortest way. God thought, ‘I do not want the people to change their minds and return to Egypt when they see that they are going to fight’ Exodus 13:17” Good News Bible.
